Great Bay NERR is one of around 30 sites across the US that were formed to provide living laboratories and educational opportunities relating to estuaries. We visited as part of a conference of environmental educators but the tour and kayaking trip that we experienced is open to all.

There is an education center that offers a calendar of learning opportunities and a boardwalk that runs thru the woodland and marsh. But by far the best part of the day was kayaking out on Great Bay.

Come for a program or stay for an afternoon just to explore. Bring shoes that can get wet and dress accordingly for the weather that day.
